CONCEPTUAL DESIGNS
At USU, Vanessa had the opportunity to take costume design classes and participate in other classroom projects, giving her the chance to come up with conceptual designs for assigned plays as well as upcoming USU stage productions.
Conceptual Designs - A Midsummer Night's Dream
Students were asked to create conceptual designs for A Midsummer Night's Dream. Vanessa chose to give the play a modern context with local high school students messing around in the dark forest, and created for the fairies a "dark circus" vibe similar to Something Wicked This Way Comes.
